18th Annual Spring 2014 Good Neighbor Program!

The “Good Neighbor” collection event will be held April 26th, from 7:00 am until Noon at the Bellaire Shopping Center, located at Pipeline Road and Brown Trail.

In an effort to reduce trash and debris in our neighborhoods, you are invited to bring any of the following items: Any non-hazardous bulk items such as scrap metal, loose brush, old fencing material or other debris will be accepted (no commercial debris). Household hazardous waste material such as oil, chemicals and paint will be collected during this event only. We are pleased to again offer document shredding, electronic equipment recycling, including computers, TV’s, DVD’s and cell phones. Look for the Goodwill and Instant Shred van on the far east end. Bring your old tax returns and other personal papers as well as your old computer and really protect your identity.

Hurst PD Will Be Accepting Gun Ammunition

•Tires & Explosives
•Construction Materials, such as shingles and sheetrock
•No more than six (6) fence panels will be accepted, unless a building permit is shown for the address on water bill and driver’s license.
•Brick and Rock need to be containerized.
•Compressed Gas

Any Hurst citizen can participate in this free event by showing a picture I.D. and proof of residency (such as a recent water bill). For this collection event, please enter the site from the east end of the parking lot from Bellaire Drive and exit west onto Brown Trail.
