As an extension of this year’s National Day of the American Cowboy, the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum (NMWHM) will honor legendary cowboy Bill Pickett on Sunday, July 27th during the Hall of Fame Rodeo at Cowtown Coliseum located in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Don’t miss this day of non-stop, family-fun rodeo action with exciting competitions in ladies barrel racing, tie down roping and calf scrambling in air conditioned comfort! “We encourage everyone to come out and bring their families to the Hall of Fame Rodeo,” says NMWHM Co-Founder Jim Austin. “It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the National Day of the American Cowboy, and to celebrate the incredible legacy of a true Western hero, Bill Pickett.”
Event proceeds benefit the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum and their mission to offer visitors a true and complete historical perspective of the people and activities that built the unique culture of the American West. The work of artists who documented the people and events of the time through journals, photographs and other historical items are part of the museum’s collection.
