Gov. Perry Appoints Miles to Texas Board of Criminal Justice
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Larry Miles of Amarillo to the Texas Board of Criminal Justice for a term to expire Feb.1, 2017. The board oversees the operations of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Miles is pastor and elder of the Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo. He oversees state prison and jail ministries for the William P. “Bill” Clements Unit, Nathaniel J. Neal Unit and Potter and Randall County jails. He is a certified volunteer chaplain for the Amarillo Parole Office. He served in the U.S. Army.
Miles attended West Texas A&M University and Amarillo College.
