Students and SRO’s Head Back-to-School!

Students and SRO’s Head Back-to-School!

The bells were ringing and students were skipping into Carroll ISD schools this morning wearing backpacks and lots of smiles! The first day back-to-school went very smoothly. Southlake School Resource Officers (SROs) were on hand to greet teachers, parents and students on their first day back. Southlake Patrol and Traffic Officers also assisted with traffic in and around schools zones to keep traffic moving smoothly.
SROs and Police Officers will be monitoring traffic to help make sure students get to and from school safely all week. You will see a presence of officers each morning, noon (for kindergarten half days) and when the afternoon bell rings. School is officially in session so please continue to slow down and watch for school children as they make their way to and from school. Be especially mindful of children in crosswalks and when parents are dropping kids off and picking them up. Thanks to everyone who helped make the first morning back to school a safe one!
