Leticia Van de Putte Honors Texas Workers On Labor Day
This weekend, Senator Leticia Van de Putte, Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor joined in the celebration of Labor Day with members of the AFL-CIO and organized labor. During visits to Pasadena, Corpus Christi, Dallas, and later today in her hometown of San Antonio, Leticia honored the accomplishments of the men and women who have built Texas.
Senator Leticia Van de Putte released the following statement:
“The values of hard work and family are in our Texan blood. As a sixth-generation Texan, I know workers and dreamers built this state, and today we recognize their efforts.
“On Labor Day, we gather with our friends and family to take a little time to breathe and enjoy the fruit of our labor. Tomorrow, the shift work begins again. Hardworking Texans will put in an honest day’s work. It is because of that Texas spirit – that our better days are ahead, that we will leave this land just a little better than when we found it. It is our obligation to the next generation and we’ll do anything for children and grandchildren.
“As a Texan, I’ll never forget the hard work that has built our great state. As Lieutenant Governor, I’ll work to keep Texas strong for generations of Texans to come.”
