Banned Books Month Family Movie Day (Rated G) at the Saginaw Public Library
Celebrate Banned Books Month at the Saginaw Public Library with a family movie based on a banned or challenged book. Free popcorn will be available the first 30 minutes of show time. The week of September 23rd-27th, the Library will be featuring books that have all been targeted for removal or restrictions in libraries and schools in the last 100+ years. Thousands of individuals and institutions across the United States participate in Banned Books Week each year, and it has grown into a premier literary event and a national awareness and advocacy campaign around censorship.
