Leticia Van de Putte To Participate In Televised Town Hall Hosted By Univision

Leticia Van de Putte To Participate In Televised Town Hall Hosted By Univision

In July, Leticia Van de Putte released her Texas First debate schedule, challenging her opponent, tea party favorite Dan Patrick, to at least five debates across the state. The debates would have given Texans in many regions of the state an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates. After weeks of silence, Dan Patrick declined and accepted only one debate in Austin.

On Friday, September 12, Leticia will keep her commitment to earn every vote and participate in a town hall with a live studio audience in San Antonio. The town hall will be hosted by Univision and Mi Familia Vota with the participation of the San Antonio Express-News, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the University of Texas at San Antonio.

During the town hall, Leticia will take questions from journalists and voters, and will share her vision for the future with Texas’ spanish-speaking Latino community. Dan Patrick chose not to address the priorities of the statewide Latino community.

Leticia will be available to the press after the town hall. The one-hour event will be streamed live from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The town hall will also air on tape-delayed broadcast at 10:00 p.m. on Univision San Antonio, and will be available for other markets to air across the state.
