WHY – Northwest ISD’s vision is to be the best and most sought-after school district where every student is future ready: ready for college, ready for the global workplace and ready for personal success. The NISD Academy of Cosmetology, provides students with opportunities to gain significant first-hand experiences and to become certified cosmetologists after a four-year plan of study. Students will engage in trainings focused on business and entrepreneurship and participate in theory and salon curriculum as outlined by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations. Upon graduation, a cosmetology academy student will be a certified cosmetologist, have significant hands-on experience and could save thousands of dollars in tuition from post-high school programs.
