Texas Democrats Honor National Hispanic Heritage Month
Today, Texas Democrats celebrate the first day of National Hispanic Heritage Month, a celebration that honors the contributions and efforts of the Hispanic community in our country.
Chairman of the Texas Democratic Party Gilberto Hinojosa released the following statement:
“Today, the Texas Democratic Party celebrates the triumphs and sacrifices the Hispanic community has contributed to help build our state and country. As Texans we pride ourselves on our unique history and heritage and so many of our greatest moments are tied to the Hispanic community.
“Democrats have always sided with the Hispanic community, especially when it comes to the issues that matter most, like investing in our neighborhood schools, a fair wage for honest work and access to quality and affordable health care. We take pride in the rich culture and diversity that makes up our state and will continue to fight every day for the rights of all Texans.”
