Dr. Reid to Present Bond Details at Town Hall October 8
A community-wide Town Hall Meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, at the Keller High School Fine Arts Center, at which Superintendent Dr. Randy Reid will detail the Keller ISD Bond that will be included on this fall’s General Election Ballot.
Keller ISD continues to grow by several hundred students each year. The passage of the $169.5 million bond package would not raise residents’ current school district tax rate. The projects would address continued growth and programmatic changes to graduation requirements by adding a new Early Learning Campus, new elementary campus, new 5th-8th grade campus, and a Career and Technology Education (CTE) Center, renovate older campuses, upgrade technology infrastructure, and provide secure entries at all campuses.
Additionally, these changes would correct many feeder pattern inconsistencies, allowing students to remain with the same group of students as they transition from campus to campus, without having to significantly revise elementary school boundary lines.
If passed, the bond would not increase residents’ current school district tax rates.
Join us on October 8 to stay informed about what is included in the bond package. Keller High School’s Fine Arts Center is located at 601 N. Pate-Orr Road.
Early voting is October 20-31, 2014 and Election Day is November 4, 2014. To learn more about the bond, visit www.KellerISD.net/Bond.
