Casa Mañana Presents A Tuna Christmas, Nov. 8 – 16

Casa Mañana Presents A Tuna Christmas, Nov. 8 – 16

Casa Mañana Theatre presents A Tuna Christmas as part of the 2014 – 2015 Broadway season. Tickets are on sale now.

Hilarious holiday fun ensues in the third smallest town in Texas! It’s 24 hours before Christmas and the delightfully eccentric characters of Tuna, Texas are attempting to cope with seasonal traumas such as a disaster prone little theatre production of A Christmas Carol and the sabotage of a yard-decorating contest by a mysterious Christmas phantom.

A Tuna Christmas stars Tuna series veterans David Coffee and Jonathan Beck Reed as all the crazy characters of Tuna. Coffee has performed in over 80 productions at Casa Mañana, most recently appearing in Peter Pan and Big River. His honors include multiple DFW Critic’s Forum Awards, Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards and recipient of the Elston Brooks Lifetime Achievement Award given by the Live Theatre League of Tarrant County. Reed has appeared in numerous productions including over 500 performances of The Music Man (most notably the 35th anniversary national touring revival), the international touring revival of Peter Pan, the Broadway national tour of 42nd Street and many more. Coffee and Reed most recently starred together in Casa Mañana’s production of Red, White and Tuna.

A Tuna Christmas is directed by Joe Sturgeon. Sturgeon has directed and acted in more than 60 professional productions and has written 16 plays, all produced professionally. His modern adaptation of The Revenger’s Tragedy, written for The American College Theatre Festival, was performed at Terrace Theatre at The Kennedy Center in 2009. Sturgeon is co-founder of Wishing Star Productions, a Dallas-based live theatrical Production Company, responsible for producing the North American tour of Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer the Musical.

Additional creative team members include Samuel Rushen as Lighting Designer, Kyle McCord as Sound Designer, Tammy Spencer as Costume Designer and Catherine Petty-Rogers as Wig, Hair and Makeup Designer.

Ticket prices range from $41 – $76 and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or by visiting www.casamanana.org. Tickets are also available at the Casa Mañana Theatre box office, 3101 W. Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth.
