Gov. Perry Appoints Meador to Texas Lottery Commission
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Jeff Meador of Austin to the Texas Lottery Commission for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2015. The commission oversees the Texas Lottery, and ensures lottery and bingo games are conducted in a legal and fair manner.
Meador is a certified public accountant (CPA) and partner at Meador and Jones LLP. He is a member and Tax Section member of the American Institute of CPAs, and a member of the Texas and Austin chapters of the Society of CPAs. He is a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd Vestry, and past treasurer and a past board member of the West Austin Youth Association. He is also a past board member of Laguna Gloria and the Austin Museum of Art, and past Fund Distribution chairman for the United Way of Greater Austin.
Meador received a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
