CTE Showcase and Robotics Competition
A Career and Technical Education (CTE) Showcase and Robotics Competition will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 28 at Timberview Middle School.
Between 4 and 5 p.m., Keller ISD CTE programs will be hosting a showcase in the Timberview Middle School cafeteria.
Teams will arrive for the Robotics Competition at 4 p.m. and the competition begins at 5 p.m. The competition includes teams from all four Keller ISD high schools as well as Hillwood Middle School. Teams will be competing to earn points by building towers and stacking cubes. The top three teams will get a trophy and there will be a “People’s Choice” award and a “Spirit and Sportsmanship” award. The audience will vote for People’s Choice and the teams themselves will be voting for the Spirit and Sportsmanship award.
The winning teams will also have a chance to be sponsored by the CTE department to attend regional competitions. It is the first contest of its kind in Keller ISD and future plans include the possibility of hosting regional competitions with other school districts participating. For this first year, our vision is to provide students with an opportunity to experience a competitive environment.
The general public is invited to attend both the CTE showcase and the competition. Timberview Middle School is located at 10300 Old Denton Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76244.
