It is going to be a day full of fun labs that the students will be conducting and will conclude with the demonstration of their products. If you would like to follow the day, pictures will be posted on Twitter using #SpurOLC.
WHEN: November 7

WHY: Northwest ISD designs dynamic learning experiences to ensure that all students are future-ready learners. Carl E. Schluter Day will not only challenge the minds of our students but will also help the students understand the importance Carl E. Schluter had on education in our district.
Northwest ISD’s sixteenth elementary school was named in honor of Carl E. Schluter. Schluter graduated from Rhome High School in 1943. He served on the NISD Board of Trustees from 1958 to 1963 and later taught math at Northwest High School, where he also served as the sponsor for several student groups. His son, Mark Schluter, currently serves as vice president of the NISD board, and four generations of the Schluter family have attended Northwest ISD schools.
