WHAT – Northwest ISD will issue Justin resident and veteran Don Miller with his high school diploma at an NISD school board meeting.
WHEN – Monday, November 10, 7 p.m.

WHY – Texas Education Code provides for a school district to issue a high school diploma to certain veterans. An eligible applicant is one who is or was an honorably discharged member of the armed forces of the United States, was scheduled to graduate from high school after 1940 and before 1975 or after 1989, and left school after completing sixth grade or higher but before graduating from high school to serve in World War II; the Korean War; the Vietnam War; the Persian Gulf War; the Iraq War or the war in Afghanistan.
