ABOUT ALL SHOOK UP:
Get ready to shake things up in Artisan’s first show of 2015 with the musical comedy ALL SHOOK UP, featuring 24 of Elvis Presley’s unforgettable hits! It’s a wonderfully entertaining celebration of life – one that anyone, of any age, can enjoy. It’s written by Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro and features such classic songs as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Love Me Tender,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” and many others. Set during the 1950’s in a town void of much joy or any real excitement, things definitely get shaken up when a guitar-playing motorcycle riding, oozing with machismo stranger named Chad passes through. He changes the struggling Midwest town forever with only the power of love and, of course, rock-and-roll. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night,” there’s lots of unrequited love and mistaken identities. This is clever, fresh fun with great music and high-energy dancing that will knock your socks off.

ALL SHOOK UP will be interpreted for the deaf and hearing impaired on Tuesday January 27, 2015 by Holly Lackey at 7:30pm.
