Sign up for the Saginaw Code RED Emergency Notification System

Code RED: The City of Saginaw emergency management has instituted the Code RED emergency notification system, an extremely high-speed telephone service for emergency notifications. This system allows us to telephone all or targeted areas of the city in case of an emergency that requires immediate action, such as severe weather notices or missing children notices. The system is capable of delivering up to 60,000 calls per hour with our recorded message to a live person or answering machine, making three attempts to connect to any number.

Emergency Examples: This system will only be used for emergency purposes. Examples of times when the Code RED system could be utilized: Bomb threat; Chemical spill or gas leak; Drinking water contamination; Evacuation notice and route; Fires or floods; Missing person; Other emergency incidents where rapid and accurate notification is essential for life safety like threatening or approaching severe weather or Utility outages.
