Trophy Club Town Council Hires Stephen Seidel as Town Manager

During a Special Call Session on Monday, March 2, 2015, the Town Council unanimously agreed to move forward with Stephen Seidel as Town Manager. A two-year employment contract was negotiated and Mr. Seidel will formally take over the Town leadership role effective immediately. The Town Council previously named Mr. Seidel as Acting Town Manager on January 24, 2015 after the resignation of Town Manager Mike Slye.

“Stephen has proven to be a huge asset to the organization and community over the years,” said Mayor Nick Sanders. “His professionalism, leadership and vast knowledge of local government operations provides a solid foundation for moving the Town forward, and the Town Council unanimously decided to offer Stephen the role of Town Manager.” Mayor Sanders went on to say, “We are excited to move forward with new Town leadership and work with Staff to implement Council goals and objectives in the future.”

Upon accepting the Town Manager position, Mr. Seidel said, “I am thrilled with the opportunity to work with residents, Town Council, Staff and Trophy Club Partners in a meaningful, impactful way that positively benefits the community.”

Stephen Seidel has worked for the Town of Trophy Club for over seven years as the Assistant Town Manager. Mr. Seidel is an International City Management Association (ICMA) Credentialed Manager, member of Leadership North Texas class of 2013, member of Leadership ICMA class of 2008 and was a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar Fellowship recipient. He previously attended the Senior Executive Institute at the University of Virginia and has a Master’s in Public Administration from University of North Texas (UNT) and a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Administration from Harding University.
