2015 North Texas Warrior Golf Clinic
The North Texas Wounded Warrior Golf Association (NTWWGA) is currently hosting 14 disabled veterans in its 2015 North Texas Warrior Golf Clinic at Timarron Country Club in Southlake. This eight-week adaptive golf clinic is the heart of NTWWGA’s mission to provide rehabilitative golfing experiences to North Texas wounded warriors. In addition to the golf instruction, NTWWGA provides warriors with custom-fit golf clubs, golf equipment and golf apparel.
NTWWGA’s endeavor to improve the lives of warriors continues after the clinic. Throughout the year, NTWWGA provides golf outings and tournament playing opportunities to registered North Texas warriors.
NTWWGA serves as the North Texas chapter of the Salute Military Golf Association. Golf is the tool, but rehabilitation is the focus. Golf provides several tools for rehabilitation and successful reintegration into civilian life. Golf provides physical and recreational therapy. It also provides opportunities to grow professional and social networks. But maybe most important of all, golf offers the warrior an opportunity to relax and unwind in the natural beauty of a golf course with others who share similar experiences and challenges. NTWWGA’s programs are designed to leverage these tools to aid in the warrior’s recovery and reintegration.
