Pass the Plate with Meals on Wheels

Pass the Plate with Meals on Wheels

On Sunday, May 17th, we are asking our friends in the faith-based community to join us in the fight against senior hunger by participating in Meals On Wheels Pass the Plate 2015. If you are a member of a local church or synagogue, we need your help! We are asking that you speak to the leaders of your congregation and encourage them to take up a special offering or make a donation to provide home-delivered meals to the homebound elderly and disabled residents of Tarrant County.

We have created this bulletin insert to help explain Pass the Plate 2015. It is available in a PDF format or you can request free printed copies to insert into your church bulletin. The deadline for requesting these free inserts is Friday, May 8th. Although we take advantage of government funding sources, we rely on community support to raise about half of our $6.5 million annual budget. Without the support of caring individuals, faith-based organizations, and other civic groups, we could not provide nearly 1 million nutritious meals each year to those in need.

If you would like more information about how you can support Pass the Plate 2015 or to request bulletin inserts, please contact Keith Harrison at 817-258-6450 or keith@mealsonwheels.org. If you would like to make an individual donation to help feed those in need, simply click on the donation button below.
