Southlake Chamber of Commerce Announcements

The Southlake Chamber of Commerce is honored to be a part of such a thriving business community and dynamic city. The City of Southlake is truly an amazing place to live, work and play. Just as the new campaign by the City suggests, it really is the “perfect” place to reside or do business.

What makes Southlake such a special place? It’s the people who have chosen to live and work here (the shopping and dining are a bonus). Each year at our Awards Banquet, the Chamber recognizes those who have contributed to making Southlake, Southlake. We award Southlake’s Citizen of the Year, along with Youth, Civic Group, and Volunteer of the Year and Small and Corporate Business of the Year. We welcome your input — you do not have to be a Chamber member to nominate someone or to be nominated. Online registration and nomination is quick and easy at SouthlakeChamber.com/annual-banquet.

This year’s Awards Banquet will be held at the Hilton Town Square on Thursday, June 18th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Back by popular demand, this year’s theme is the “2nd Annual Night at the Improv.” The featured comedian is Paul Varghese, a finalist on the Last Comic Standing, and The Hunter Sullivan Band will provide musical entertainment. Along with the great entertainment and awards, there will be a silent auction, photo booth and a wonderful dinner. Tickets are $80 each. For more information on sponsorship, silent auction items or tickets, contact Maurine at maurine@southlakechamber.com.

And, it’s never too early to talk about our biggest event of the year, Oktoberfest! Be sure to mark your calendars for the first weekend in October to attend this family friendly affair. You’ll definitely want to come out for the highly popular wiener dog race on Saturday, October 3rd. There is no admission charge. Oktoberfest features great bands throughout the weekend, art vendors, the sports zone and, of course, German food and beer! Since this is Texas, we are allowed to boast: 2014 attendance was well over 100,000 for the three-day weekend! If you would like to get involved as a sponsor, vendor or volunteer, contact Danielle with the Chamber at danielle@southlakechamber.com.

The Southlake Chamber invites you to get involved in your community. Please check out our other events and opportunities at www.southlakechamber.com.

Sincerely,
Mark Guilbert, President & CEO
