Final Performance of a Nine Month Tour!

Kids Who Care, a non-profit international musical theatre company based in Fort Worth’s Cultural District, will wrap up their 26th Annual Tour with a One Night Only performance of their original musical, District XI; Believe in Me, at the Scott Theatre on Friday May 15, 2015.

With a powerful message that celebrates the teachers who are changing the world and reminds us that together, we can create the education our children need; District XI; Believe in Me, has made impacts across the country performing in places such as:

Kids Who Care’s Founding Director Deborah Jung says it best, “Our first original work was written in 1990 was presented at the Kennedy Center at the Texas Festival of the Arts. Now in our 26th year, we end an incredible tour of one of our finest original works “District XI”. With the powerful messages delivered in District XI; Believe in Me, our children’s voices have been loud, clear and impactful.

District XI: Believe in Me is a collaborative effort of Texas playwrights and songwriters, including Kids Who Care alumni. The youth actors at Kids Who Care helped steer the show’s content, through their words and feedback as the script and original songs evolved. The musical’s cast is the 2014/2015 Resident Company who are committed to touring with Kids Who Care year round.

Matinee performance times for District XI are as follows: May 15 at 9:45 and 11:15am; The evening performance of District XI on May 15, begins at 7:30 pm. All performances will be at the Scott Theatre, located at 1300 Gendy Street in Fort Worth. The evening performance is sold out. (Members of the press can be accommodated.)
