School Board Meeting Tonight
The Carroll ISD School Board will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 5:30 p.m. tonight in the CISD Board Room, located at 2400 North Carroll Ave. View tonight’s agenda here.
PSAT Testing Coming in October
Attention Juniors – the PSAT test will be held at Carroll Senior High School on Wednesday, Oct.14. The cost is $22 and click here to signup and pay for the test. Sophomores are automatically signed up to take the test at Carroll High School on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at no cost.
Homecoming Dance Tickets On Sale
Carroll Senior and Carroll High School Homecoming Dance tickets are currently available through Ticket Tracker at $25 for a single ticket.Tickets will be sold online through Oct. 7 on Ticket Tracker.
Odyssey of the Mind Parent Information & Team Formation Night

Special Programs Parent Information & Student Fun Fair Thursday
The Carroll ISD Special Programs department is hosting a Parent Information & Student Fun Fair night on Thursday at Eubanks Intermediate, located at 500 S. Kimball. It will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. and will provide parents information on all the district’s programs, including ESL, Dyslexia, Speech Therapy and many more. Students will enjoy a movie room, gym access, arts and crafts and more. Free pizza, drinks and snacks will be provided. Click here to register for the event.

Save The Date: College Fair Coming Oct. 28
Carroll Senior High School will host a College Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the CSHS gyms.
SAGT Welcome Coffee & Guest Speaker Events
Southlake Association for Gifted and Talented (SAGT) is bringing acclaimed author and speaker Julie Lythcott-Haims to Southlake. Ms. Lythcott-Haims is an expert on the phenomenon of helicopter parenting and author of How to Raise an Adult. Her work has appeared on TEDx talks, NPR Radio, Forbes, The New York Times and Chicago Tribune. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn tools our preteens and teens need to thrive as fully functioning, capable young adults. Ms. Lythcott-Haims will speak at both the SAGT Membership Drive Welcome Coffee on Wed, Sept. 23 at 9 a.m. at the CISD Admin Building and again at 7 p.m. at the CSHS Auditorium. Gina Peddy, CISD Executive Director of Curriculum & Instruction, will also speak at the morning Welcome Coffee. SAGT members attend free. Non-member admission is $15 at the door. Southlake Basketball Hosts Fall Skills Academy
Southlake Basketball is offering a fall skills academy for players in grades 2nd-8th starting Sunday, Oct. 18. The academy will be held on Sundays at Carroll Senior High School and include four sessions per group. The 2nd-6th grade session will be held from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for $80. The 7th-8th grade session will be held from 2:30-4 p.m. for $100. You must pay for all four sessions even if you can’t attend all four. Clickhere to register.
Community News: Golf & Educational Seminar Oct. 14 & Oct. 18
Applied Inner Sciences will host a free community event on Oct. 14 and Oct. 18 to discuss how to help teenagers overcome stress and other related issues. It will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct.14 and 3-4 p.m. on Oct. 18. The event will be held at 2241 E Southlake Blvd Southlake (PGA Tour Superstore).
