New Campus to be Named “Keller Center for Advanced Learning”
Keller ISD’s Board of Trustees approved Thursday, October 15, to the naming of the District’s new Career and Technology Education campus the Keller Center for Advanced Learning.
District voters approved the renovation of South Keller Intermediate School into a campus devoted to Career and Technology Education as part of the 2014 Bond Package. In September, KISD administration presented campus naming options to the community and allowed students, parents, employees, and residents to vote on their favorite option.
“Keller Center for Advanced Learning” was the clear favorite, garnering more than 50 percent of the vote. The Board unanimously approved the community’s recommendation at its Regular Meeting on October 15.
Construction on the renovated campus is underway and will continue throughout the school year. The Keller Center for Advanced Learning is set to open in August 2016.
