Baccalaureate 2017 Information
Baccalaureate is a CHS/CSHS PTO sponsored, interfaith service to honor all Carroll seniors and their families. The approximately hour-long service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 28. This year’s theme will be “The Heart of Success” and will include readings, words of inspiration, music and prayer from Carroll Seniors representing multiple faiths. In addition to student participation, several local faith leaders will provide short inspirational messages. Baccalaureate is the first occasion in which graduates will wear their caps and gowns. The service is held at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church. No RSVP is needed for students and their family members. View the invitation and details on the CHS/CSHS PTO website here.
Links Jazz & Blues Fest at The Marq May 20
This festival featuring jazz musicians Kirk Whalum, the Yuko Mabuchi Trio, the Freddie Jones Jazz Group, food, and art from local artists will be held May 20, 6 p.m. – 12 a.m. at The Marq Southlake. The Links Jazz & Blues Fest is sponsored by the Fort Worth, TX Chapter of The Links, Inc. and will benefit their local community service programs focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs for youth. Southlake YoungLife Hosting 5K Fun Run on May 20
Join Southlake YoungLife on Saturday, May 20 for a 5K Fun Run that helps send kids to summer camp. The race will be at Dragon Stadium, costs $25 pre-race, and $30 on the day of the race.
