Keller ISD Students Host Police Memorial Event May 17 at Central High School

Keller, TX – Criminal Justice students will host a Police Memorial event on Wednesday morning, May 17, at Central High School, to honor Texas law enforcement officers who have passed away in the line of duty.

The Memorial will honor officers in the state who gave their lives since the start of 2016. Students will present a wreath and show a slideshow recognizing each officer killed in the line of duty, while taps is played in memory of each of the officers.

Students from all four Keller ISD high schools will be represented as the Jr. ROTC Color Guard presents the colors and the CHS choir will sing the National Anthem. Keller Police Captain Tommy Simmons will also make a brief speech.

The choir will also close out the event with a rendition of Amazing Grace.

Guests are asked to arrive at 9 a.m., and the program is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Central High School is located at 9450 Ray White Road.
