Local students honored by William Jewell College

Local students received recognition from William Jewell College for the 2016-2017 academic year at the annual Celebration of Honors ceremony on the College’s Liberty, Mo., campus.
The following students were recognized for their achievements:
• Megan Moore, Euless, Texas, senior music, psychological sciences and Applied Critical Thought and Inquiry major, received the Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity Scholastic Award, for a senior in the Gamma Psi chapter with the highest grade point average, and the Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity Collegiate Honor Award, for a senior demonstrating musicianship, scholarship and fraternity service. She was named a Distinguished Graduate in Psychology and was selected to Mortar Board, a national senior honor society demonstrating the ideals of leadership, scholarship and service. She was also named to the Phi Epsilon Honor Society for the top 10 percent of the graduating class.
• Camille Love, Euless, Texas, senior chemistry major, was named an Outstanding Senior in Chemistry and was also selected to Mortar Board.
