Complete with family fun and patriotic festivities, the 18th annual Stars and Stripes Southlake celebration is scheduled for Monday, July 3, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Hosted by the City of Southlake, the free community event offers live entertainment, activities for kids, food and drink options, free shuttle service and a sparkling display of fireworks.

The freedom fun will feature musical entertainment on two stages in Southlake Town Square: Family Park and Frank Edgar Cornish, IV Park. Event guests will experience live performances by the Southlake Community Band, Empty Pockets Country Band, Limelight Band and various patriotic ceremonies throughout the event.

Fun for everyone, family activities and entertainment will be available throughout Southlake Town Square during the event. Kids of all ages will be able to create patriotic crafts in the Creation Station, and the KidZone will offer exciting outdoor activities such as dual inflatable slides, inflatable obstacles, and inflatable midway games. An area for toddlers will also be available. There will be other festive fun throughout the event, including candy art, balloon artists, strolling characters, temporary tattoos, live entertainment and trampoline jumps.

From burgers to barbeque, ice pops and more, guests will find delicious eats at the 20 food stands and food trucks at the event. In addition to local flavors from area restaurants, there will also be festival favorites, such as cotton candy, fried Oreos and lemonade booths on site.

Launched from the rooftop of the West Parking Garage and synchronized to patriotic favorites, fireworks will illuminate the sky at 9:30 p.m. Seen from in and around Southlake Town Square, the best viewing spots include Frank Edgar Cornish, IV Park, McPherson Park, DPS Headquarters, Lot 1, Park Village and Shops of Southlake. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Enjoy the ultimate spectator experience during The Star Experience. This VIP treatment includes a reserved table with close seating to the patriotic action.

Although parking for the event is free, internal Southlake Town Square parking lots will close at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the event. All surface lots and the East Garage will close once full or by 7:30 p.m. Free shuttle services will be available at White’s Chapel Methodist Church and Gateway Church, with round-trip rides to and from McPherson Park from 3:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
