Colleyville: Curbside leaf and Christmas tree recycling

Colleyville: Curbside leaf and Christmas tree recycling

Recycling your Christmas tree is as easy as putting it on the curb.

Community Waste Disposal, Colleyville’s trash and recycling service provider, will include Christmas trees in its curbside leaf recycling pick-up this Saturday, Jan. 6.

The collection begins at 10 a.m. CWD requests that participants remember to remove all decorations.
The next and final leaf and Christmas tree recycling route is Saturday, Jan. 13.

To recycle leaves, residents just need to set out leaves bagged in paper Kraft bags. CWD will still collect leaves in plastic bags set out on regular garbage collection days but these will go to the landfill. If residents set out Kraft bags for leaf recycling a few days early CWD will leave them for the Saturday collections. With that in mind, residents should be aware of and comply with their Homeowner Association’s policies.
