Eight KISD Powerlifters Advance To State

Keller ISD powerlifters competed at the Region 6 Powerlifting Meet March 3 at Central High School and eight athletes have advanced to compete at the state level.
Central High School placed second in the region and Keller High finished third. In addition to qualifying for State, CHS’s Jordan Wilkerson was also named the Most Outstanding Lifter and Most Outstanding Deadlifter on Light Platform.

Congratulations to the following athletes who are advancing to State:

Rodney Banks, KHS, 3rd (220 lb. weight class)
Jett Ertle, KHS, 1st (165 lb. weight class)
Stephen Gaut, CHS, 2nd (114 lb. weight class)
Noah Moreno, CHS, 2nd (165 lb. weight class)
Ty Nicholson, TCHS, 1st (198 lb. weight class)
Sean Payne, KHS, 3rd (242 lb. weight class)
Landon Sleeper, CHS, 3rd (198 lb. weight class)
Jordan Wilkerson, CHS, 1st (114 lb. weight class)

These athletes will go on to compete at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association State Meet on Saturday, March 24 at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene.
