Keller ISD Names Lisa Simmons New Keller High School Principal
Keller ISD has named Lisa Simmons as the new principal at Keller High School.
Simmons has worked at Keller High for the past four years, serving the last three as the school’s Associate Principal. In all, she has been with Keller ISD for 15 years having worked in administration at Trinity Springs Middle School and prior to that teaching at Central High School.
“I am humbled by the opportunity to serve this amazing community of students, staff, and families,” Simmons said. “I am committed to providing the utmost quality of leadership so that we may continue reaching the highest standards of excellence at Keller High.”
Simmons holds a Master of Education in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from the University of North Texas. Prior to teaching, she had a career in the finance industry. Keller ISD administrators considered Simmons’ wealth of leadership experience and familiarity with the Keller High School community when naming her the campus’s new principal.
“Lisa Simmons has been a tremendous asset to Keller ISD for many years now, and we are excited for the students and staff at Keller High to have her as a leader,” said Area Superintendent Cory Wilson. “KHS has a legacy of excellence, and we believe Lisa is the right person to guide the campus to even greater achievement.”
Simmons will begin serving as principal in July. She takes over leadership at Keller High from Dr. Michael Nasra who recently accepted the principal position at Humble ISD’s Kingwood High School.
