NISD Opens Two New Schools, Welcomes 24,000+ Students
On Monday, August 27, Northwest ISD has welcomed approximately 24,100 students. In the next five years, NISD can expect a rise of approximately 6,200 students and more than 35,000 students in ten years time.
NISD experiences an increase of nearly 1,100 students each school year. Because of this administration works closely with demographers, developers, community members and businesses to plan and prepare for growth. Much of the growth is driven by the new homes and employment within the area. Currently, the district has more than 80 active housing developments, 1,600 lots available to build on, and within the boundaries, there are nearly 30,000 planned future lots.
Northwest ISD has opened two new campuses on Monday, August 27:
Lizzie Curtis Elementary School – NISD’s 18th elementary campus
9640 Belle Prairie Trail, Fort Worth, TX 76177

Leo Adams Middle School – NISD’s 6th middle school campus
