Keller ISD Gives Back During The Holiday Season

Do you know of students or teachers who are giving time and resources to help those less fortunate this holiday season? Is your school hosting a campus-wide initiative to give back to the community?

Donations for Community Storehouse It could be something as simple as a food or clothing drive, or a story about an individual or group doing something unique to help out a friend in need.

We are asking for all philanthropic efforts happening throughout the District, so be sure to send details to Communications@KellerISD.net or use #KISDGivesBack to share these moments with us on Twitter!
Here is a look at just some of the things Keller ISD campuses are doing this holiday season:

Indian Springs Middle
ISMS is hosting their Annual Toy Drive, presented by the following student organizations: FCS, PALS, NJHS, SSS, & STUCO. The toy drive will benefit Community Storehouse and runs through Friday, December 14. New unwrapped toys may be donated each morning in main hallway or front office.

Sunset Valley Elementary
SVES will host a toy drive through December 15. They will be collecting toys, gift cards, jackets, etc. to donate to the Community Storehouse and SVES families in need. They have a large box in the front foyer to place donations and when a student makes a donation, they will be able to make an ornament with their name on it and place it on the tree in the foyer. The class who has the most donations will earn a hot chocolate and marshmallow party when school resumes after the holidays. In addition, students who bring a new toy to Breakfast with Santa on December 15, get in for free.

SVES will also host Snowflakes for the Storehouse December 10-19. Students will be able to purchase paper snowflakes for 10 cents each and donate them to whomever they want in the building. SVES will keep track and the teacher who has the MOST snowflakes earns the esteemed privilege of wearing the Santa Suit on December 19. All money collected will be donated to the Community Storehouse.

Willis Lane Elementary
WLES is hosting a pajama drive for Community Storehouse. Families can drop off their unwrapped new pajamas in the box in the mail hall next to the libaray through December 14.
