Keller ISD Going Red For Heart Health Feb. 1
Keller ISD is excited to participate in this year’s American Heart Association District Heart Challenge, and everyone in KISD will be encouraged to wear red on Friday, February 1, for National Go Red Day.
Did you know that heart disease is the number one killer of all Americans? The good news is that 80 percent of the risk factors are preventable!
Plan to wear red on February 1 as we show our support for the American Heart Association and encourage our community to be heart healthy by getting their blood pressure checked, staying active, and making smart dietary decisions.
Donate $20 to the American Heart Association by texting KellerISDGives to 41444.
The campus with the highest percentage of participation will receive a healthy breakfast donated by the American Heart Association and be named the Keller ISD Heart Champion. Indian Springs Middle School was the 2018 KISD Heart Champion.
Additionally, Keller ISD is competing against 25 other area school districts to see who can raise the most for the American Heart Association. With just days left to donate and receive a shirt, Keller ISD is in fifth place:
- Richardson ISD
- Frisco ISD
- Prosper ISD
- Grapevine-Colleyville ISD
- Keller ISD
- McKinney ISD
- Garland ISD
- Carroll ISD
- Irving ISD
- Allen ISD
