Heritage at Saginaw Development Proposal

Heritage at Saginaw Development Proposal

At the City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019, NuRock Companies will request a Resolution of Support to pursue funding to construct a 120 unit apartment development on the 900 block of W. McLeroy. The proposed development would be age-restricted to residents 55 years and older. Approximately 15% of the development would offer market rate rentals and approximately 85% of units would offer rents based on income. The property where the development is proposed is zoned Multi-Family 2 (MF2), which allows up to 24 housing units per acre.

The action for the City Council to consider is solely related to an applicant-requested Resolution of Support for NDG Saginaw Housing Partners, LTD’s application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs in the 2019 competitive 9% application round and HOME Funds for Housing Tax Credits for Heritage at Saginaw. Council will not be determining whether income-based senior housing should be approved.

If you have questions regarding the development proposal, please contact Lisa Rucker of NuRock Companies at (512) 409-6170 or by email at
