Lewisville: KLB Garden Secrets class

Lewisville: KLB Garden Secrets class

Keep Lewisville Beautiful will hold a free Garden Secrets class, “Composting,” on Thursday, Feb. 28, 6-8 p.m., at MCL Grand, 100 N. Charles Street.

Join KLB and Texas Agrilife speaker Daniel Cunningham for this free class. Composting is one of the best soil amendments money can buy, but you don’t have to buy it – make your own. Learn how to make high quality compost at home using materials most folks throw away. This class will give you the dirt on the most effective composting methods with a focus on practical techniques and “piles” of problem-solving tips to get your compost system back to peak performance.

Keep Lewisville Beautiful is partnering with the City of Lewisville to provide classes throughout the year as an initiative of the Lewisville 2025 vision plan.

Class times and locations may vary from class to class, but are generally from 6 to 8 p.m. RSVP required. To reserve a seat send an email to info@keeplewisville.com or call 972.538.5949. Classes are open to all community members (residency not required) and all ages are welcome.

Upcoming classes include “Pots in Small Spots: Container Gardening” on May 2, and “Sensational Succulents” on June 13, and “Shade Gardening” on July 18. For a complete list of upcoming scheduled classes, please visit the KLB website keeplewisvillebeautiful.org
