Central Market Southlake To Add Curbside Grocery Pick-up

Central Market Southlake To Add Curbside Grocery Pick-up

Foodies will soon get a faster fix at Central Market in Southlake. The gourmet grocer will add curbside pick-up services in late 2019, having received unanimous Southlake City Council approval in January.

Located in the Shops of Southlake retail center, the supermarket chain specializes in gourmet, organic and craft food and beverages—everything from house-made salads sold by the pound to fresh meats and produce, imported coffee beans and locally brewed beers. Texas-based HEB grocer owns Central Market, which has other locations in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Plano and San Antonio. Currently, the Fort Worth location is the only Central Market to offer curbside pick-up.

The Southlake location has plans to create eight designated parking spaces adjacent to its current store, expanding the operation into what is currently occupied by Toy Maven, a toy store that will move to another retail space within the Shops of Southlake. Curbside pick-up services are set to begin in Southlake in late 2019, just in time for increased grocery shopping during the holiday season.

Once the curbside service starts, customers can order on, select the Southlake location and a pick-up time, and park in a designated curbside parking space. A Central Market partner will then load the groceries. The cost to reserve a pick-up time is $4.95 and a 3% personal shopping fee is applied to all orders.

Central Market joins several other food retailers in adding more convenient ways to shop for groceries. Kroger in Southlake already offers curbside pick-up and Costco in Southlake allows customers to order online and pick-up eligible items in-store. With the addition of Central Market’s curbside pick-up, making a quick stop for groceries will be simpler in Southlake.
