Colleyville: Art on Display at the Library
Tucked into the corners of the Colleyville Public Library and adorning tabletops and book shelves are numerous new art sculptures for patrons and visitors to enjoy.
New this week in the Library are, “Golden Morning,” aka “Bob,” a life-size dog and popular piece among surrounding libraries. Also on the first floor are sculptures entitled “Golden Dream,” and “Chasing Rainbows,” as well as a fishing tableau located on the New Releases book shelves. Upstairs in the Youth Services area are new children-friendly pieces entitled, “Lotus Seeker,” and “Searching for the Leprechaun’s Gold.”
The exhibit features the works of artisans throughout the country and represents many different sculpture techniques, cultures, and artistic styles. The library has partnered with Sculptureworks, an organization that is, “Bringing the World of Art to Life @ Your Library.”
