Watauga: City to Accept Volunteer Applications for City Manager Workgroup with the Purpose of Updating the City’s Comprehensive Plan
The City of Watauga will be accepting applications from interested citizens for the City Manager’s Workgroup which is being established for the purpose of updating the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan is a development strategy document that creates a shared vision for the community of Watauga and establishes ways in which the community can effectively realize that vision. The plan is designed to provide for efficient delivery of public services, coordination of public and private investment, management of growth and other strategies to ensure that Watauga is a Great Place to Live!
Applications to serve as a member of this workgroup will be accepted starting April 9, 2019 – May 1, 2019. The number of positions available will be between 4 to 6, to be decided by Council during the May 13, 2019 meeting. Meetings of the workgroup will be monthly with some public meetings held in addition for an expected time-frame duration of 9 months to completion of the updated plan.
