Irving: Residents Invited to Provide Feedback on Community Needs
The City of Irving’s Planning and Community Development Department is seeking input from residents on housing, community services, homelessness, fair housing situations and other community needs through an online survey and two public hearings.
This brief online survey is designed to identify fair housing and other housing and economic development issues in the state. As a recipient of federal funds awarded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the City of Irving certifies it will affirmatively further fair housing. The city also is required to develop five-year comprehensive plans that outline how federal funds for housing and community development projects will be used.
The Planning and Community Development Department will host two Public Hearings seeking feedback from stakeholders to help develop a five-year strategic plan. This plan will define how the City of Irving spends the federal funds it receives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) over the next five years. Resident input is greatly needed.
