Keller ISD Announces New Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, North Riverside ES Principal

Keller ISD is excited to announce Tracy Johnson as the new Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Allison Boyd as the new Principal of North Riverside Elementary School.

Johnson comes to Keller ISD from Denton ISD, after serving as its Executive Director of Human Resources for the past three years. Prior to accepting that position, Johnson served in administrative roles in KISD as the Advanced Academics Coordinator, in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD as an assistant principal, and as a teacher in Northwest ISD.

She received her Bachelor of Science from Texas Woman’s University in 2001, and her Master of Science from the University of North Texas in 2007. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership through the University of North Texas.

“Johnson’s work and passion strongly align with Keller ISD’s core values as they relate to our employees,” said current Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Tommie Johnson.

Tracy Johnson will be replacing Tommie Johnson, who will be retiring at the end of June.

New North Riverside Elementary Principal Allison Boyd joined KISD as a teacher in 2015 and is currently the assistant principal at Caprock Elementary, where she has been since August 2016. Prior to moving to the DFW area, Boyd served as both a teacher and an administrator at Compass Academy Charter School in Odessa from 2012-2014. Her teaching career began as a teacher in Abilene ISD, and she has also taught in Ector County and Lamesa school districts.

She earned her Bachelor of Science from Hardin-Simmons University in 2002 and her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from University of Texas of the Permian Basin in 2014.

“Allison has an energy, enthusiasm, and passion for bringing out the best in herself and those around her,” Tommie Johnson said. “This, along with her excellence in leadership will be an asset to North Riverside Elementary.”

Both hires were unanimously approved at the April 22 KISD Board of Trustees Meeting. Tracy Johnson and Allison Boyd will begin their new roles for Keller ISD in July.
