Help Fort Worth Libraries display a little flower power this summer

Help beautify your neighborhood this summer, starting at your local library.

The Fort Worth Public Library is teaming up with Texas Blossoms to plant trees around the city’s libraries. Texas Blossoms is a Fort Worth nonprofit whose mission is to beautify Texas with blossoming trees, native flowers and butterfly habitats.

Fort Worth residents are invited to enter a design competition to create landscaping plans for the city’s public libraries. The design competition will run from May 13-June 15, and winning designs will be announced July 1.

Library patrons and neighbors are encouraged to visit their local library branch for more information on how to participate.

The libraries being landscaped during the 2019/2020 planting season are:

  • eSkills – 2800 Stark St.
  • Northside – 601 Park St.
  • Southwest Regional – 4001 Library Lane
  • Wedgwood – 3816 Kimberly Lane
