Fort Worth: Farmers market to benefit city’s food drive efforts

Browse vendor tables at a farmers market-style kickoff event for the City of Fort Worth food drive benefiting the Tarrant Area Food Bankfrom 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 7 outside the A.D. Marshall Building, 1000 Throckmorton St.

Grab lunch from the Austin City Taco Co. food truck, then visit vendors, peruse City of Fort Worth department displays and view demonstrations by local organizations.

For more than 20 years, the City of Fort Worth has held an employee food drive. As a result of these efforts, last year about 256,000 meals were served to needy individuals and families.
