Summer Reading @ Colleyville Public Library

Summer Reading @ Colleyville Public Library
3…2…1…READ!
Our Summer Reading Program is underway! You can register at the library between May 28 and July 20 and receive your reading log. Participants can track titles of books read or amount of time spent reading. Return your log by Saturday, July 20th to receive a prize!
Top 5 Reasons to Join Colleyville Library’s Summer Reading Program
5. Reading is cool!
It gets really hot during the summer. Beat the heat by finding a cool and comfortable spot inside and enjoy a good book.
4. Anyone can join.
It doesn’t matter how young or old you are, anyone can join the summer reading program! Babies and toddlers, kids, teens, and adults are encouraged to participate.
3. Helps prevent the summer slide.
Kids who don’t read over the summer tend to lose their literacy skills while kids who do read actually improve their reading ability and are more likely to develop a lifelong love of reading.
2. Prizes
We have prizes for everyone! Kids receive a t-shirt and goodie bag once they’ve completed their first reading log and can select prizes from the prize room for each subsequent log. Teens and adults are entered into weekly prize drawings.
1. It’s fun!
You get to read what you want, when you want, where you want.
