KELLER SHAKE SEMI-FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
Elementary students from around the district have qualified for the annual Keller Shake Semi-Finals Competition.
KELLER SHAKE is a competition throughout the district in the elementary school theatre departments, where students learn the value of voice, diction, eye contact, and a firm handshake. The emphasis is on educating the whole child with a greater understanding of conversational and social skills.
Preliminary rounds were held on each campus, and the top five students from each school advanced to the Semi-Finals Round.
Ninety-Five Semi-Finalist students will demonstrate their skills at the KISD Education Center this Thursday, October 17. At the conclusion of the event, finalists will be announced, and students will enjoy complimentary pizza and ice cream!
The top finishers from the semi-finalist round will return to the Education Center for the final round on October 30, where they will meet and visit with professionals from the community, for a chance to be named Keller Shake Champion!
The Keller Shake is funded by a generous grant from the Hudson Foundation. Congratulations to this year’s Keller Shake Semi-Finalists:
