Veterans from a local American Legion post greet the crowds in the 2018 Veterans Day Parade.

The Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade will roll through downtown Fort Worth on Nov. 11. This year’s parade will honor the centennial of Armistice Day and Veterans Day celebrations in Fort Worth.

The parade will feature more than 5,000 participants, including veterans, active military, Junior ROTC groups, school bands, and civic and patriotic organizations.

Parade entries will begin staging at 8 a.m. at Panther Island Pavilion, 395 Purcey St., and step off at 10:30 a.m. The parade will proceed south on Main Street to Sundance Square for an 11 a.m. opening ceremony.

After the ceremony, the parade will continue south on Main Street to West Fifth Street, west to Houston Street, then north on Houston Street to return to the staging area.

These streets will be closed by 10 a.m. and will reopen following the parade (shortly after noon):

  • Main and Commerce streets from the Tarrant County Courthouse to West Fifth Street.
  • Belknap Street from the Tarrant County Courthouse to North Henderson Street.
