CHS, KHS FOOTBALL TEAMS MAKE PLAYOFFS
Varsity football teams from Central High School and Keller High School have both qualified for the 2019 UIL Class 6A playoffs and will open their postseason runs against District 6-6A opponents November 15.
Central is set to take on the Marcus Marauders in the opening round of the 6A Division 2 playoffs. The Chargers will take District 5-6A’s second seed in the Division 2 bracket and face the District 6-6A Champion Marauders. As the higher seed, Marcus will host the matchup, at 7 p.m. Friday, November 15, at Marauders Stadium (5707 Morriss Road in Flower Mound).
Keller will have 5-6A’s second seed in the 6A Division 1 bracket and face 6-6A third-place-finisher Flower Mound. The Indians will travel to the Jaguars’ Neil Wilson Stadium on the FMHS campus (3411 Peters Colony Road in Flower Mound) for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Friday, November 15.
Tickets for each game will be $4 for students and $6 for adults, and will be available for purchase at the respective high schools’ (CHS and KHS) front offices from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, through Thursday, November 14, and 8 a.m-2 p.m. Friday, November 15. All tickets purchased at the game will be $8. Tickets will not be sold online.
