United Way of Tarrant County releases $50,000 to help with COVID-19 impact
United Way of Tarrant County released $50,000, as an initial round of funding, from its Emergency Relief Fund to six organizations.
The funds will cover basic needs such as meals, rent and utilities, as well as child care, especially directed to health care workers and first responders.
Child Care Associates, $10,000.
Combatants Overcoming Income Needs, $5,000.
Community Action Partners, $10,000.
Community Enrichment Center, $7, 500.
Tarrant County Homeless Coalition, 10,000.
Phase 2 funding will quickly follow, thanks to generous donations from corporations and family foundations.
