CEDAR HILL ISD TO BEGIN ONLINE CAREER FAIR ON MONDAY, APRIL 20

The Cedar Hill Independent School District is hiring employees, including teachers and support staff, for the 2020-2021 school year.

While social distancing prevents us from hosting our usual job fair, we have adapted and will be hosting an Online Career Fair, beginning on Monday, April 20. 

Please visit https://www.chisd.net/careers for information on the Online Career Fair. Applications will be accepted through Friday, April 24. Virtual Interviews will be held between April 27-29, via Google Hangout and Skype.

“The CHISD Human Resources Department is diligently working to ensure that the application process, as well as the virtual new hire onboarding process, runs smoothly,” CHISD Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Violet Dean said.

Dean said the District has been preparing for the online career fair and that everything has been secured to make it a success. 

“We have received information from Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Human Resources Services, TASB Legal, and the United States Department of Homeland Security regarding virtual  processes and procedures and CHISD’s processes are in compliance,” Dean said. “We want the best and the brightest for our scholars and if you meet that description, we want ‘You”.”

Cedar Hill ISD Superintendent Dr. Gerald Hudson said this is an excellent opportunity for talented individuals to become an Essential Longhorn.

“At Cedar Hill ISD, we are always looking for exceptional educators,” Hudson said. “While we wish that we could welcome all of the prospective employees in person, we know that it’s not possible at this time. I would like to acknowledge the Human Resources and Technology Departments for preparing us to hire a new group of dedicated Longhorns.”

The District lists some recommendations for online interviews – check your technology to ensure that you have a reliable Internet connection before the interview; be cognizant of your background; minimize distractions; prepare for the interview beforehand; be aware of your body language; dress for the interview; be yourself.
