The Colleyville Fire Department is accepting applications for the Citizens Fire Academy. This is a six-week program with classes every Thursday evening. Classes are conducted from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and at least half of each class is a hands-on, interactive experience in firefighting. This year’s Academy runs from March 27 through May 1. The program is available to Colleyville residents and those who work in Colleyville, and is open to both men and women. The class is offered free of charge as a service to those who live and/or work in Colleyville.
The Colleyville Fire Department’s Citizens Fire Academy is offered only once each year. Class size is limited to 12. Participants must be 18 or older.
Applications are available at the Central Fire Station or download an application online. Completed applications must be received by March 21. Applications can be mailed to the Central Fire Station at the address below or emailed to wsavage@colleyville.com.

EMS operations, Care Flite, automatic external defibrillator, and CPR
April 24
Hazardous materials and decontamination, Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
May 1
Vehicle extrication demonstration, ropes class, and ladders class
